Securing Tomorrow’s Technology Today: 5G and IoT Threat Vectors
10 Oct 2019
Cyber Security Innovations Stage
The digital revolution has entered a new phase of cloud and Internet of Things (IoT) computing, in which national prosperity and security depend on proactive management of technology risk and opportunity. The “new stack” is the emerging architecture model that enables opportunity and creates risk in this phase. This new stack incorporates 5G, IoT, and other technologies such as cloud, virtualization, AI and robotics, with the purpose of empowering the business and mission processes of the Government, businesses, and society. At its core, the 5G value chain is creating exponential strategic risks because of the scale and speed of network attacks, sophisticated attacks exploiting adversarial AI and edge computing, and an order of magnitude increase of connected devices leading to an expanded attack surface.
That’s where Booz Allen takes a threat-driven approach to architecting and securing the “new stack.” We will share our perspectives on anticipating tomorrow’s threats, building systems that are secure by design, and verifying the technical vulnerabilities. We will offer a unique perspective into how we harness strategy and technology capabilities from across the public and private sectors to meet the needs of current and future digital revolutions.
To connections old and new, Coming on board as Junior Editor for The Stack in 2014, I could never have dreamed of the success we have achieved in such a small space of time – at our peak, reaching a global readership of one million. The idea to forge a small editorial team within the... Read More

As cyber security is the hot topic at the moment, there are many exhibitors with new product showcase and conference speakers sharing their expertise, I find it very informative and insightful. My job scope covers a broad spectrum, having other shows like Big Data and IoT in one room is very convenient. Look forward to coming back next year too!
Deputy Manager, Land Transport Authority
I’m interested in a couple of topics (i.e. Internet of Things, eCommerce and cloud & cyber security), so that’s why I’m here. We’ve just finished a conversation with NETSCOUT and are quite interested in their products – we will keep in touch with them to see how we can further collaborate.

The event was good and informative. I've attended this event to browse for more products and solutions which we can use in our organisation to improve operations efficiency. I'll definitely be back next year.

I attend this show with no particular focus but the speaker line up is good, the topics covered are wide as well. The speakers provide insightful content that are relevant to my job – cloud, cyber security, networks and the co-location of different shows help to save time too!
