Ten years of Uniscon – Innovative Technology for Highly Secure Cloud Use
Patented technology for operator-safe cloud use Aiming at developing technical solutions for a trustworthy and secure Internet use, the cloud security experts Dr Hubert Jäger (CTO) and Dr Ralf Rieken (COO) established Uniscon GmbH in 2009. With the invention of the Sealed Cloud, they set the basis for data processing at the highest level of security. The internationally patented technology ensures that even the platform operator has no access to the data stored by the users. Four years later, the cloudbased data exchange service iDGARD started as the first sealed cloud with operator security by means of which files can be safely sent via a shared link. In addition, digital Data Rooms facilitate collaboration within teams and with external partners.
Highly secure work with data and applications Based on the Sealed Cloud technology, Uniscon experts developed further procedures for data-protection-compliant management. For example, to operate critical applications such as CRM, ERP or mailing systems based on the Sealed Cloud, the Sealed Platform represents a technically isolated environment for data processing that is compliant with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Numerous achievements, such as the Data Protection Certificate (TCDP)1 developed under the technology program of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, show that Uniscon has played a pioneering role in terms of data protection. The partnership with Deutsche Telekom also makes this clear: In 2016, the Sealed Cloud was added to the Magenta Security portfolio of Deutsche Telekom. Paving the way for digital transformation "With more than 60 employees working for Uniscon today, we want to continue to drive highsecurity cloud use. After all, we want to offer users of all industries the benefits of cloud computing, such as scalability and flexibility, without compromising security," explained Karl Altmann, CEO of Uniscon. "The Sealed Platform is also intended to pave the way for future technical innovations, for example, by securely processing, analyzing and exchanging data in the area of IoT," Altmann added. This year's trade fair presentation at it-sa in Nuremberg (Germany) will be all about international market expansion. At the same time, Uniscon will be exhibiting at Cloud Expo Asia in Singapore, where the Sealed Cloud will be presented as a trailblazer for a successful digital transformation. 1 Certificate under the TCDP on the website of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy: https://bit.ly/2HdjEoI PRESSEMITTEILUNG Click here to see an overview Uniscon’s events.
