Dr Chalee Vorakulpipat
Principal Researcher, Information Security Research Team, NECTEC
Dr. Chalee Vorakulpipat is currently Principal Researcher and a former Head of Information Security Research Team at the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC), Thailand. Prior to leading the Research Team, he worked as Head of ThaiCERT, System Analyst and System Developer. His research interests include Information Security, Data Protection, Digital Transformation, Health IT and Knowledge Management. He has also made significant contributions in his role as the Director of the Center for Research and Development at the Office of the Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC). He co-authored two books on Digital Watermarking (English) and Unified Modeling Language, and one book chapter on Smart Cities. He is an IT Consultant in the government sectors with an emphasis on Information Security and Digital Transformation. He has been a Guest Lecturer at several universities, responsible for the modules of Information Management, Computer Network, and Database Systems. He is a recipient of the 2019 (ISC)² Information Security Leadership Award and a number of ICT awards at the national level, including the National Research Council’s Best PhD Thesis Award and the Mobile e-Government Award. He received B.Eng. in Electronics Engineering from King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, M.S. in Information Technology from Kasetsart University, and Ph.D. in Information Systems from University of Salford. He holds professional certificates including CISSP, CISA, PMP, and IRCA (ISMS Lead Auditor).
