With over years 10 experience in business advising across various industries and continents, Vanessa is a seasoned business strategist specializing in Technology and Cyber security. Vanessa has built a reputation for running with ad hoc business request and transforming them into projects or business cases, from ideation to execution. This led to her current role of Director of Strategy & Planning within Standard Chartered's ICS division where she works closely with the Bank's Senior leadership team to drive better Cyber Resilience. She is also an advocate for diversity and inclusion within the cybersecurity landscape and part of the D&I ERG council within the Bank to drive change within the organization. Being educated and trained to be a lawyer and pharmacologist but then pursuing a career within cybersecurity, Vanessa is passionate about advocating for more females to be in ICS from all fields. She was one of the first graduate of the Standard Chartered Bank's Cyber Acceleration for Women programme and now part of the team to pave more females to enter this space with the mentoring programme.
